India's Largest WELL Core Platinum Campus Now Operational
Tata Realty announced on June 16, 2026 that Intellion Park Chennai, formerly Ramanujan IT Park, achieved WELL Core Platinum certification across all buildings from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). This makes Intellion Park Chennai India's largest WELL Core Platinum Certified campus, with no other campus in the country having such a large cluster of WELL Platinum-certified buildings within a single development.
The campus is among the world's largest to achieve WELL certification at this scale, and is India's first IFC EDGE Zero Carbon-certified development. Ideally located in Chennai's IT Corridor in Taramani, the 25.75-acre park has created an office environment that inspires efficiency, innovation, and wellbeing.
What WELL Core Platinum Measures
WELL Core Platinum certification evaluates workplace performance through ten parameters linked to occupant health and productivity, including air quality, light quality, thermal comfort, and acoustic design. This certification sets measurable standards for how workplaces support the people within them—a distinction that addresses growing corporate focus on employee wellness and global ESG commitments.
Dual Sustainability Achievement
Intellion Park Chennai is also India's first IFC EDGE Zero Carbon-certified campus. EDGE's Zero Carbon certification recognizes buildings after at least a year of net carbon-free operation. The project uses 91% off-site renewable energy and 2% on-site renewable energy, with the remaining 7% from the grid offset to achieve net zero operational carbon.
The combination of WELL Core Platinum certification across buildings and IFC EDGE Zero Carbon certification gives the campus institutional relevance in India's sustainable commercial real estate sector.
